Two demitasse cups and saucers. Hand painted gold wheat on delicate translucent porcelain, all four pieces with original foil labels intact.
A rare find — likely never used. Pattern #3196 mirrors the Lefton #20595 exactly; both were importers who appear to have sourced from the same Japanese maker. Tilso was founded in 1913 and named for the founders' daughters Tillie and Sonia — operating until 1976, with labeled pieces now increasingly hard to find. A beautiful hostess gift, especially paired with a fine espresso.
