TPS25810 USB Type-C Downstream Facing Port (DFP) Controller and 3 A Rated USB Power Switch

The TPS25810 is a USB Type-C Downstream Facing Port (DFP) controller, featuring an integrated 3-A rated USB power switch. It monitors Type-C Configuration Channel (CC) lines to detect attached USB devices. When an Upstream Facing Port (UFP) device is connected, the TPS25810 supplies power to V BUS and communicates selectable V BUS current sourcing capability to the UFP via the passthrough CC line. If the UFP is connected using an electronically marked cable, the TPS25810 also applies V CONN power to the cable CC pin. Additionally, it identifies when Type-C audio or debug accessories are attached.
